The following guidelines are very handy
when you are preparing to travel:
Make reservations of the hotel/accomodation in advance.
Check the weather of the place in the weather forecast and make special
arrangements accordingly e.g rainy weather requires keeping umbrellas and raincoats and cold weather requires keeping
warm clothes.
Make a to-do list of the important things you have to complete before travelling
so that they are not pending.
Make a list of things you have to keep in your suitcase and tick
them off when you have kept them.This avoids something to be left at home "because you forgot".
Always keep a first aid kit..no matter how short ur trip is.It helps
a lot in case of panic.
Check that you have kept all the travel documents including the passport.
Double check that you have locked all the doors and windows
for safety!
